Fragments of Recall

 Echoes Beneath the Bay explores the hidden layers of Miami’s submerged histories, where memory, water, and urban transformation converge. Through a process of collage, sanding, painting, and excavation, fragments emerge and recede like archaeological traces beneath Biscayne Bay.  

 Urban Palimpsests investigates the city as a living manuscript, continuously written, erased, and rewritten through time. Inspired by streets, structures, and human occupation, each composition layers fragments of color, texture, and form to evoke the accumulated traces of urban life.  

 Cartographies of Memory reimagines maps as emotional landscapes rather than instruments of navigation. Drawing inspiration from aerial views, coastlines, highways, and the delicate boundary between Miami’s urban fabric and the Everglades, the series transforms geography into lived experience.  

 Layers of Passage reflects on movement, transition, and the fleeting experiences that unfold between destinations. Inspired by highways, intersections, and the luminous atmosphere of Miami’s sunsets, the series captures the emotional resonance of travel through layered color, texture, and abstraction.
